Creating a Backup Store

The Backup Store is where information about your backup is kept. It includes the store name, description, status, region and utilization information. When you create a Backup Store, you are prompted by the Backup Store wizard to download and save your new connection credentials, which you will need to create a connection to CV Backup.

To create a Backup Store, complete the following steps:

  1. From the HPE CV main menu, click Backup Stores.
  2. Click New Store. The Create Store wizard appears.
  3. Provide a Store Name, Description, and Region, and then click Create Store.
  4. Download the text file that contains your Username and Password, and then click Close.

After you create a Backup Store and download your username and password, make sure the Status in the Backup Store is Active. Then you should download the Secure Client.
